A Founding Vision
Designito began with two founders. The first is an American entrepreneur from a three-generation family in the field, with over 25 years leading luxury supply chains in Northern California. He has wide experience in contemporary Italian furniture. We import directly from more than 40 leading Italian makers. We have strong ties in Italy and are proud to work with makers known for innovative design and quality.
The second is a Milanese designer with two decades shaping collections for top Italian houses. He works directly with Italian manufacturers to create unique pieces for each client. By importing directly, we offer better value, more choice, and personal service.
Over the past two decades, both founders saw an unnecessary gap between the studio, the materials, and your home. We close that gap with a designer-led model and a network of selected ateliers in Europe. We use clear material specs and layered quality checks from prototype to delivery.
The result is furniture with calm proportions, precise details, and honest materials you can feel. Timelines are shorter, transparency is higher, and standards stay consistent from the first sketch to the chair in your home. Designito is a proud member of AIA California (American Institute of Architects California).
What We Sought to Fix
Every Designito piece answers an industry that needs clarity and pace. We studied the slow steps, the extra layers, and the fatigue. Then we chose a simpler, faster, clearer way.

Long Lead Times
Traditional luxury furniture brands often take 12 to 25 weeks or longer to deliver. These delays come from slow production systems and fragmented logistics. Designito solves this with a vertically integrated model and a U.S.-based Quickship program, cutting delivery times to just a few weeks without compromising craftsmanship.

Inflated Middlemen Pricing
Legacy brands rely on dealers, showrooms, and commissioned salespeople. Each layer pushes prices far beyond the cost of production. Designito removes these layers with a direct-to-consumer model. We offer honest pricing, full transparency, and real value. No showroom markups. No pressure sales.

Lack of Transparency
After an order is placed, customers are often left without clear timelines or progress. Designito changes this with milestone updates, concierge support, and full visibility from purchase to delivery. We build trust through proactive communication.
Our Journey

2003
The First Question
“Why is luxury furniture still so slow, inefficient, and overpriced, when nearly every other category in the home has already evolved?”
While consulting for legacy brands, our founders saw the same issues. One saw bloat and delays in American logistics. The other saw stagnation in Milan’s traditional houses. Both wanted better for the industry and the customer.

2004
Immersion & Discovery
In the early stages of their journey, the founders immersed themselves in a global investigation: visiting workshops, meeting with craftsmen, and engaging directly with suppliers, shippers, and designers across continents.
From Italy to Asia, they prototyped ideas, observed bottlenecks, and dissected the inner workings of the luxury supply chain.
It became clear that the flaw wasn’t in the furniture itself, but in the outdated, multilayered system that surrounded it.

2008
Designito is Born
After nearly three years of research and refinement, Designito emerged, not just as a product, but as a new kind of furniture company.
Built with intention from the inside out, it rejected the bloat and rigidity of legacy models in favor of a vertically integrated, design-led framework.
The vision is simple, to deliver true Italian-inspired luxury, without the delays, waste, or compromises that had come to define the industry.

2010
Shenzhen Workshop Finalized
To bring that vision to life at scale, the founders selected Shenzhen as the home of Designito’s specialized workshop. Far from a cost-cutting move, the decision was rooted in precision and capability.
Shenzhen offered the ideal environment for high-complexity production; Housing the skilled labor, technical infrastructure, and quality controls required to execute complex upholstery, recliner integration, and sculpted foam construction at the highest standard.

2011
Partnerships Secured
With operations in place, the next priority was material integrity. Designito secured long-term partnerships with globally respected suppliers, including Gruppo Mastrotto for Italian leather, Kvadrat and Maharam for high-performance textiles, and Donati for Italian-engineered motion systems.
These relationships ensured that every component lived up to the promise of performance, longevity, and tactile elegance.

2012 - Present
Global Growth & Recognition
Today, Designito pieces live in private and hospitality spaces worldwide. Penthouses in New York. Boutique retreats in the Swiss Alps. Six-star villas in St. Barts. Fashion display corners for Hermès and Loro Piana.
You can find our work in Aman New York, Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives, and Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, as well as private lounges from Tokyo to Monaco. A modern view of luxury, rooted in a Milanese soul and architectural clarity.
Designito's Design Ethos
Designito pieces begin with Milanese clarity and discipline, then adapt to today’s spaces and pace of living. Every line is considered. Every material is earned. Every silhouette is deliberate. We keep what matters and remove what does not. The result feels timeless yet modern, with tight proportions, fluid modularity, and honest materials guiding every choice.
Clarity of Purpose
Each piece starts with a simple brief and a real need. Lines carry structure, contours support the body, and details make use effortless. Good design feels self-evident. You understand it at a glance, and you enjoy it in daily use.
Proportion with Restraint
We shape silhouettes through balance, not bravado. Space, scale, and symmetry set the rhythm, so pieces sit quietly and still anchor a room. Modular elements let you tune the composition without visual noise, keeping rooms calm and coherent.
Durability Through Detail
True longevity lives in the details you rarely see. Reinforced frames, hidden stitching, and high-performance components are tested for quiet strength. You notice it in the tension of a seam, the weight of a base, and the silence of a mechanism. Quality reveals itself over time, not just on day one.
